Izabela Bienko, Registered Psychologist, MA Psych, MA CYC

Izabela is a Registered Psychologist with over 15 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across clinical, health, school, and community settings. She holds graduate degrees in Counselling Psychology and Child & Youth Care Counselling and provides formal psychological assessment and consultation services.

Her assessment practice focuses on ADHD, mental health, trauma, personality and behavioural concerns, and functional capacity. She has particular experience with complex presentations where symptoms may overlap across attention and executive functioning, anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, and life circumstances.

Izabela approaches assessment with curiosity, compassion, and clarity. Her goal is not simply to identify a diagnosis, but to develop a meaningful understanding of each person's strengths, challenges, patterns of functioning, and support needs. Assessment findings are integrated into practical recommendations that can help guide treatment, accommodations, and next steps.

With nearly 20 years of dedicated counselling experience and four years as a specialized Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP), I provide high-fidelity specialized diagnostic assessments and therapeutic care for children (8+), adolescents, and families across Alberta.

• Specialized Assessments: Comprehensive Psychoeducational testing, ADHD screening, complex mental health differentials, functional/behavioral, formal personality disorder profiles, perinatal/post-partum screening and return to work reports.
• Therapeutic Expertise: Certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Sandplay therapy. Utilizing evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, attachment-based and Solution-Focused Therapy.
• Service Delivery: All ongoing counselling sessions are conducted via a secure, fully PIPEDA/HIA-compliant virtual platform. In-person specialized assessment testing is conducted on-site in professional Sherwood Park/Edmonton clinical environments.
